A short murder mystery
Retired widows Connie and Sable Butterworth have set up a private investigating business. Their second case involves the suspicious death of Dolly Kendall.
Dolly is found dead at her home, supposedly from an overdose of sleeping tablets. Connie had spoken to Dolly the previous day and knew something wasn't quite right with her. Dolly had been despondent, and it was obvious to Connie that something was bothering her.
Connie and Sable's investigation leads them to a devious plot involving missing cats and poisonous letters.

I read books one and two and they were both delightful. I'm old and feisty too and these two ladies are my cup of tea. I sure hope there will be many more books in this series. Fun read.Product details

This is the 2 no book in this new series. 2 older women decide to start a detective agency. So far, they are doing quite well solving crimes. Fun, cozy, & British, what's not to like? 😊
Connie and Sable Butterworth, sisters-in-law, are starting a detective agency. When Connie's friend, Dolly Kendall, is found dead from an apparent overdose of sleeping pills Connie realizes that something is wrong. Their investigation takes some interesting twists and turns before Connie and Sable solve the. mystery.
Curiosity Killed Dolly Kendall (A Butterworth Mystery Book 2) by Gillian Larkin is a short mystery/murder story. I am never disappointed with her stories. They are always full of twists, turns, and humor. She keeps them clean and always a great mystery. Great story again this time too!
You have to love a book with a cat on the cover! This is the perfect series when you just want to sit and enjoy a good story in a short period of time. When finished, you'll want to go into the next in the series and so on!
I find Gillian Larkin to have just the right amount of mystery and humour in her books. They are always enjoyable and wonderful characters that you'll fall in love with. Try one and you'll be hooked!
I love the Connie and Sable mysteries! They are well written and keep me interested right up to the end. Connie and Sable are honing their detective skills and getting ready to set up shop. Megan has developed a unique talent which is keeping Sable entertained. Read the book because along with the mystery you have humor which adds to the story! Excellent book!
This was a good little cozy mystery--short and easy to read. I was sort of surprised by the ending. The two Butterworths work great together. I would read more of these mysteries...just wish they were a little longer.
